Anson County Fiber Arts Festival
This is the 2nd Annual event and we have pulled out every stop to make it unlike any other. Our community is known for a few things; world’s best peach ice cream, kayaking, hunting, skeet shooting, and farming. In 2022, I wrote my thoughts on paper, “Why not host a fiber arts festival?”

Event Planners
This is Heather & Derrick Edwards, co-owners of Studio 256. Heather is one of the planners for this event! There is a wonderful committee of folks working on this. A few folks who enjoyed the fest last year have taken on helping. We have many more volunteers working on this and I will be sharing them soon.
WE ADDED A RETREAT!
Patti Barker will be doing a 3 day retreat Collage Felted Vest. We will be hosting this retreat at Westwood’s Grange retreat center. It will host 5 double rooms (10 ppl) and we will be able to have some locals as well.

Demonstrations and Workshops are something that we want to be a part of this event!

Vendor Hall that will host many vendors with Fiber, Yarn, Tools, & so many other fibery things!
The vendor hall will open Friday& Saturday 10am - 5pm @ 132 S Washington Street, Wadesboro NC!
3 Ways to attend the festival free (without attending a workshop)
**1. We will be taking yarn, fabric & notion donations for the local Anson Women’s Prison.
**2. We will also be taking granny square or crochet motif donations for Studio 256 project they are working on for a local donation for an auction item.
**3. Do you have a quilt you would like to donate to Studio 256 for the 5 & 2 Trade School kids beds when they come to the school? We will be taking these at Studio 256 or the vendor hall.
**Parking is available in the lots at the corner of Wade and Washington streets, Caswell and Rutherford streets, and Ashe and Morven Rd.
**If you’re doing a workshop; you will receive an email with details about where you will meet for the workshop session.
**You will be able to purchase quilt raffle tickets and t-shirts in the vendor hall information table. You can purchase quilt raffle tickets at Studio 256 as well.

Join the Celebration
There will be animal demonstrations, vendor hall, fiber shed, used equipment sale, and workshops throughout our uptown area. You will have the opportunity to visit historical site as the historical society will be hosting visits to the local spots within town. There is so much more and we are going to be adding more as we get closer.
